PIP chats with author Lynn Cahoon

Good Afternoon! Today sitting with us at Passion In Print is author Lynn Cahoon. Hi Lynn, thanks for spending time with here in the author’s spotlight. First, tell us why do you write?

Lynn -  What a great question. I write because I love telling the happy ever after. The characters in my story become real to me as I’m telling their adventures. A few years ago I had a health scare. 2007 was the year of breast cancer for me. And as I thought about my life, I knew I wanted to tell my stories. So I started writing.

Colleen – So are you a plotter or pantser?

Lynn -  A pantser who’s trying really hard to turn into a plotter. Oh, don’t worry, I’m not going crazy on this, but I’d like to have an idea of the basics before I write the entire book and have to go back and revise it into submission. The problem is, the characters in my books are like a spirited horse, they like to have their head and take over the process.

Colleen – Characters do get demanding at times don’t they? So Lynn, what inspires you?

Lynn -  Bright and shiny’s. Seriously, I love the idea of a new story. The challenge. Someone called it the new boyfriend smell. Especially when I hit the dreaded middle and my mind starts to wander to the next story. Right now I have seven books in the cue to write, so my BS has to be put on a waiting list. Sometimes, I take a break and write a short, just so I can get my craving satisfied.

I am going to make sure I load it on my ereader when I hit the Jersey Shore this weekend. Colleen- The new boyfriend smell! I like that. So what do you have coming out with Passion In Print Press?

Lynn- Temporary Roommates is my first release with Passion In Print Press. Here’s the short blurb - Recent nursing grad, Annie Baxter needs to find an apartment. Fast and cheap. Intern Troy Saunders, just wants a place to crash and shower within walking distance of the hospital. Two leasing agents, two newly inked rental contracts, one apartment. Can they co-exist without fireworks?

Temporary Roommateswill be followed up by a second story, yet to be named, taking Annie and Troy through their paces.

Colleen– Sounds like a wonderful beach read!

The Sweet Road to Love by Jacki Kelly

Bookstore owner, Dakota Conroy has been dumped by her long distance boyfriend. While the sting is still branded in her brain she decides to pour her excess energy into the store's renovation with the help of engineering specialist, Bishop Contee. His charm is irresistible, but his reputation for womanizing is legendary. Could he be a nice distraction while she mends her life?

Bishop Contee enjoys his women like he enjoys a fine glass of wine. When it comes to sowing his wild oats, he still has a pocket full. Besides, helping his sister get her life together is enough domestication for him. When he stumbles upon the eclectic beauty of Dakota, he's caught with his guard down.

Playing with fire is dangerous. Will these two take the risk for a lifetime together?
